6 Episodes Of 'The Office' That Flash Forward To Pam And Dwight Fucking On Jim's Grave

The Office was one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, filled with incredible characters and unforgettable moments. Some of the most emotional scenes in the entire series came from the moments when the show would cut to a flash-forward to Pam Beesly and Dwight Schrute fucking on Jim Halpert’s grave. Here are six classic episodes where that happened!

1. Season 1, Episode 1: “Pilot”

The very first episode of The Office opens with Jim pranking Dwight by putting his stapler in Jell-O. Dwight is furious, and it seems like Jim has really pulled one over on his coworker until the show abruptly cuts to the words “15 Years Later,” followed by a long scene of Dwight and Pam having sex with each other in a cemetery right in front of Jim’s gravestone. The inscription on Jim’s gravestone reads, “Jim Halpert: 1978-2020. Paper Salesman and Christian Man.” Dwight and Pam fuck with enthusiasm as lighting strikes a dead tree in the cemetery and several crows land on Jim’s Grave, looking down curiously at the two’s passionate lovemaking. Then the show immediately cuts back to 2005 with a scene where Michael Scott shows off all the toys he has on his desk.

2. Season 2, Episode 22: “Casino Night”

The emotional season two finale concludes with Jim finally working up the courage to tell Pam that he’s in love with her. Jim and Pam finally share a long-awaited kiss, a moment made even more memorable by the abrupt cut to the words, “36 Years Later,” leading into a scene set in the distant future where Pam and Dwight are absolutely going to town on each other in the shadow of Jim’s gravestone. While Pam and Dwight are having sex, CeCe and Phillip, two children that Pam and Jim had together, walk up to them and announce that they’re both going to prison for insider trading. Pam says, “Okay, have fun,” and Dwight says, “When Jim Halpert died, the government let me have his bathing suit.” CeCe and Phillip both hand Dwight a rose and climb into the back seat of a police car. The episode then cuts back to the present-day, where Pam and Jim are still in the middle of their first kiss. Wow, it’s hard not to get teary-eyed just thinking about it!

3. Season 3, Episode 17: “Business School”

In this unforgettable episode, Jim pranks Dwight by pretending that he’s turning into a vampire. Midway through the episode, the show cuts to the words, “20 Years Later,” followed by a scene where Dwight and Pam are back in the cemetery, having loud sex on Jim’s grave. Dwight keeps screaming, “Who’s the vampire now?!” at Jim’s grave and Pam keeps humming The Office theme song steadily louder.

4. Season 3, Episode 18: “Cocktails”

The cold open for this iconic episode starts with the words, “The Year 2090” before transitioning to a scene of an elderly Pam and Dwight going at it on Jim’s grave so lustfully that it seems they are struggling to breathe. In pure ecstasy between labored breaths, Pam repeatedly screams, “Dwight Shirt!” and Dwight responds by screaming, “It’s pronounced ‘Schrute!’” After 25 minutes of the two screaming this back and forth at each other, the theme song plays, followed immediately by the end credits.

5. Season 5, Episode 2: “Weight Loss, Part 2”

In the second half of season five’s two-part premiere, long-time Office fans witnessed the iconic moment when Jim got down on a knee in the pouring rain and finally asked Pam to marry him. With tears of joy in her eyes, Pam says yes, and the episode then cuts to the words “60 Years Later,” followed by a scene of Pam and Dwight fucking on Jim’s grave. “I’m so glad we do this three times a year!” Pam yells as she makes love to Dwight. “We’ve been doing this for 45 years and I never get tired of it!” yells Dwight. You can tell that this scene is set in the distant future because Pam is wearing virtual reality goggles and Dwight has a long, white beard. In a stunning 15-minute-long tracking shot, a gray-haired Michael Scott then rolls up from 800 feet away on a Segway and silently lies face-down on the ground next to Pam and Dwight, who ignore Michael as they continue making love on Jim’s grave.

6. Season 9, Episode 24/25: “Finale”

The Office’s bittersweet farewell episode takes place at Dwight’s wedding to his long-time girlfriend Angela Martin. There are too many amazing moments to count, but the highlight is definitely when Dwight and Angela are sharing their first dance the camera cuts to the words “90 Years Later,” followed by a scene where Pam and Dwight, now both over 100 years old, are having sex on Jim’s grave. Angela is there throwing rose petals on Dwight and Pam while they make love. All of a sudden, Dwight stands up and says, “Wait! Wait! I want to show you something, Pam.” Dwight picks up a shovel and begins digging up Jim’s grave. After 30 minutes of digging, Dwight reaches into the hole and drags out Jim’s coffin, entirely encased in Jell-O. Dwight shrieks with laughter as lightning strikes Jim’s headstone, destroying it. This is the final shot of The Office.
